C. Mehrl Bennett‘s new book of text poetry was created using an
unusual process, and the results are stunning. She took words and
phrases from her large body of visual poetry and elaborated them into
a work which can be read as individual poems, or as a single long
poem. In this respect alone, her book is uniquely successful, but in
addition her poetry has a minimalist lyricism that is quite
remarkable.
