RESISTENZA DELLA POESIA. Una giornata di  incontro con i poeti italiani delle ultime generazioni.

La trasfigurazione degli animali in bestie (ed. Transeuropa, Massa, 2011) di Alessandro Raveggi (Firenze, 1980);

Strutture (ed. Oedipus, Salerno/Milano, 2011) di Ivan Schiavone (Roma,1983).

La presentazione –  condotta dei critici Cecilia Bello Minciacchi, Caterina Verbaro  e Raoul Bruni  –  non si risolverà in una serie di momenti separati dedicati ai singoli autori, ma, proprio muovendo dal confronto con l’originalità di scrittura di ciascuno, si aprirà a una riflessione collettiva  sulla situazione della poesia oggi in Italia, con l’intervento, oltre che degli autori e dei critici nominati, anche del pubblico.

Sono previsti, come partecipanti alla discussione, numerosi altri poeti, tra i quali la romana Sara Davidovics (1981, anche performer e artista visiva), il ligure Federico Scaramuccia (1973), il trapanese ma residente a Firenze Rino Cavasino (1972) e i fiorentini Eleonora Pinzuti (1973), Novella Torre(1974) e Marco Simonelli (1979).

Dopo un breve intervallo, alle 18.30, recital di Alessandra Cava, Rino Cavasino, Marco Giovenale, Sara Davidovics, Eleonora Pinzuti, Michele Porsia,Alessandro Raveggi, Federico Scaramuccia, Ivan Schiavone, Marco Simonelli e Novella Torre

The printed book: a visual history

This exhibition/book brings together books to illustrate a canon of more than five hundred years of Western book design. It showcases book design in all its forms: reference works and works of art, ‘machines for reading’ and picture books, prestigious collector’s items and throwaway paperbacks. It includes work by famous printers of the hand-press period — Nicolas Jenson, Aldus Manutius, Christoffel Plantin, the Elzeviers, John Baskerville, Giambattista Bodoni — and trendsetting designers of the modern era — William Morris, El Lissitzky, Jan Tschichold, Paul Rand, Massin, Irma Boom. It also includes remarkable illustrated works by architects and artists such as Giovanni Battista Piranesi and Maria Sibylla Merian. Special attention is devoted to printers’ manuals, illuminating the printing process, and also to type specimens and writing masters’ copybooks, placing letterforms in a broader context.
