New (no) business model for LRL e-editions

From CJ Martin :

The editors of LRL e-editions are thrilled to announce the launch of SIX new books! This time around, we’re changing things up a bit:

In the past, we’ve only ever charged $2-3 over cost for our print-on-demand books. We’re now ready to commit to making exactly $0 from this series: FROM NOW ON, ALL PROFITS FROM THE SALE OF PRINT-ON-DEMAND BOOKS IN THIS SERIES WILL BE DONATED TO A DIFFERENT SMALL PRESS EACH YEAR. First up: Chax Press. So, any purchase of a print-on-demand title from this series during 2011-2012 will have the added benefit of helping to support the efforts of Chax!

Over the next few weeks, we’ll launch one or two titles at a time, beginning with a book-length review of Michael Cross’s Haecceities (Cuneiform, 2010), which is now available for download/purchase.

Please stay tuned for new books from David Brazil, Sarah Mangold, Hugo García Manríquez, and Pattie McCarthy–as well as one monumental reprint from Beverly Dahlen!

news from LETTERBOX

News from LETTERBOX

You might have been wondering… you were probably wondering… when are we going to get another issue of LETTERBOX Magazine? They’re so square and wonderful, and it seemed like they were going to issue forth with some regularity.

The time is near

The editors of LETTERBOX are now far enough along with preparation for Issue #6, scheduled for production this Winter, that we now solicit work for it.

Got a poem to put in the Box? The deadline is December 1, 2011. Issue #6 has no theme, though it will have a name.

Please spread the word. And please also click the link below that says “Update your profile” to ensure that we only send you messages in the manner you prefer. If you  don’t want to hear any more from us, please click the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of this message, so we can scrupulously remove you from the LETTERBOX mailing list.

Thank you.

Green Integer News: “Go In”

Go In” and visit our new on-line book publishing venture. Beginning in August 2011, Green Integer is publishing several new, older, and out-of-stock Sun & Moon, Green Integer, and other archived titles on line.

Most of these will appear for free through our various blogs, which can be accessed on the Green Integer Web sites through direct links. Some of these titles, new books and others, will be priced at affordably low prices for our “on net” customers.

Ordering through PayPal, customers will be provided with a PDF link within 24 hours of payment so that they can either read the books on the computer or download them to print to other media.

The first of these titles have now been posted to our On Net site on the Green Integer Web and through the various blogs devoted to specific literary genres: The PIPPoetry site (poetry), the USTheater site (theater), EXPLORINGfictions (fiction), International Cinema Review (film), and the Green Integer Blog (devoted to other cultural events).

We believe that this service will help make titles available for general readers, classroom students, and scholars.

Meanwhile, we are also trying to update our complete book list, to help with your book orders, noting when our titles are temporarily out of stock and when they become available again. I thank you for your patience while we revise these pages.

Below are some of our new On Net titles. The entire list can be seen at Green Integer On Net on the left hand-side of this page.
