1) Palestinian people sometimes give their children the names of cities and places stolen by the israelis.

2) Many Palestinians in Gaza, now, under the israeli bombardments, write the names of their children on their arms or legs, in order to recognize them in case they would be disfigured by the israeli weapons and bombs.

3) The zionist government tries to translate or turn the names of Palestinian places into hebrew, in street signs and on maps. They want to cancel even the linguistic memory of parts of the Palestinian homeland.

The zionists believe in maps, in written rules (racist rules), mad bureaucracy, illegal walls and gates suffocating the actual life of a whole population in the West Bank too.

This population, the Palestinians, in Gaza, write their names and words and sentences on the body of their beloved ones: they preserve their memory not through paper or (unjust) laws, signals, barriers and hate signs, but with the very existence of their bodies, despite of individual deaths and the whole genocidal praxis they are forced to face.

Skin, names, memories. Thanks to these doors Palestine will live and will pass on its values and light.

MANIFESTO DEI DOCENTI PER GAZA

Condanniamo fermamente le violazioni del Diritto Umanitario Internazionale e della Convenzione di Ginevra, sottolineando la chiara violazione di diritti fondamentali nei confronti dei bambini di Gaza.
Chiediamo un immediato cessate il fuoco per porre fine al massacro in corso e garantire la sicurezza e la protezione dei bambini e delle popolazioni coinvolte.
Rivolgiamo un appello alle istituzioni italiane, richiedendo azioni concrete come l’accoglienza scolastica presso gli istituti italiani per i bambini palestinesi, contribuendo così a mitigare la tragedia umanitaria.

the israeli forces destroyed the central archive of the gaza municipality

After threatening (https://t.me/PalestineResist/16870) to bomb it at the end of October, the IOF destroyed the central archive of the Gaza Municipality this week, destroying thousands of documents over 100 years old, including city history, urban plans, and letters. Most of the historical documents have been burned, with digital copies existing for some.

The IOF has destroyed a number of cultural centrals, universities (https://t.me/PalestineResist/16764?single), museums, and libraries during its ongoing genocide of Gaza. Among the destroyed libraries is Gaza’s largest public library, which housed 20,000 books. The Samir Mansour library and publishing house, which was bombed and rebuilt in 2021 following a solidarity campaign, was also bombed again recently; it amassed 300,000 books in its time. Among the destroyed cultural centers is the Rashad Shawa center in Gaza City, which contained a library and housed thousands of displaced Gazans before it was completely destroyed by IOF bombing.

Additionally, the Al-Qarara Cultural Museum in Khan Younis, southern #Gaza, which was founded in 2016 and includes over 3,500 pieces, was heavily damaged by IOF bombing this October, as well as the Rafah Museum and others.
